Katie Jordan, 89, of Beaumont died July 4, 2008 at The Clairmont. A native of Woodville and resident of Beaumont for many years, Katie was a retired secretary from San Jacinto Glass. Katie was past Madame President of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #116 in Beaumont and a member of the Eastern Star and Women in Construction (WIC).
She is survived by her son, Doug Leger and his wife Jerry of Beaumont; daughter, Susan Broussard and her husband Wade of Crystal Beach; brother, Ross Gant of Nederland; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cyrus Leger, Bill Swiger, and Elgin Jordan; sister, Louise Eddy; and brothers, James Gant and Jeff Gant.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday evening, July 5, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
