I first met Billy during our first day working at the Lyondell-Citgo refinery on April 1st 1996. Several months later, we were assigned to the operations startup team for a new Delayed Coking unit. Though I trasnsferred to Equistar for 1.5 years in 1998, Billy and I worked on that unit for several years until health issues forced him to accept a medical retirement. I miss the never-ending jokes and laughter that always surrounded Billy. He was a true character and had a work ethic at 55+ that pust most 20 year old operators to shame. Sadly, he and I lost touch after he left and I just learned of his passing yesterday. You touched my life and will be missed. Take care pardner!
