Nancy and I are in Canada on vacation and heard of Joseph's passing. We know the sadness you are going through right now. All of our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know how close you were to your "pop-pop". Always remember all the good times. They will help to lessen the sadness and heartfelt loss you are feeling. We know it is difficult now but you have so many wonderful memories of him as we saw from the slideshow. May he live in your hearts forever.

Dearest Patti, Brian, Megan & Johnny ~

We were so very sorry to hear of Joe's sudden passing. Brian, during our many cell phone conversations and text messages over the past months, you conveyed in so many subtle ways just how important your Dad was in your life and that of Patti, Megan & Johnny.

The loss of a parent is a searing pain in your heart and soul. The video depicted a few of what I am sure are endless good memories. Keep those memories fresh and clear in your mind and heart. Joe is no longer here, but he is close by and will be there for you.

Your Dad lived by example. The goodness and love from his example will live on in your family. I regret not knowing him as I would have thanked him for being such a wonderful father-in-law to Patti, "pop-pop" to Megan & Johnny, and father, friend, mentor and example of what a good man is to you.

Dear Brain,Patti and Family;

We were at such a loss to hear of the passing of your father, father-in-law and "pop-pop". Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during such a difficult time.

In times such as these the memories that we reach back for and hold dear are what give us solace and comfort. Although not personally having the privilege to meet Joseph, by watching the video, it seems as though he enjoyed life and cherished his family deeply.

Although Jospeh has left this life he is not far away and will be watching and smiling upon his children and grandchildren often. By leading your lives as when Joseph was in them you will continue to provide the joy and love that he must have cherished so dearly.

I'm sorry for the loss of your father. As you know I have lost a parent also. It is a struggle everyday. But as I have come to know they will stay with us forever, in our hearts , in our dreams and our memories.

We will miss uncle joe very much. Not so long ago, I gave him a great pictuure of aunt joanie that my mom had. Tracy and i could tell he really liked it. and I said to him." Take good care of this picture". and he gave me that uncle joe look, you know, like duh ! "whutta ya think i'm gunna do with it". I thought about what I said for a second, and thought, duh ! "whutta ya think he's gunna do with it" !. We LOVED HIM ! Eric, Tracy, and not so little Eric.
