Tracey, Ethan, and Hannah,
My prayers and thoughts are with each of you. Darrell was such a wonderful guy. We went to South Park H.S. together.
Tracey, it was such a pleasure to teach with you at Sour Lake Elementary. Your family has God's awesome promise that you will all be together again one day. Knowing your precious spirit, you have Blessed your children with this knowledge also.
May God Bless you all and give you peace.
In Christ's Love, Peace, and Grace,

Our thoughts & prayers are with you, as well as those from our church, Northview Baptist, in Humble. As long-time friends of Pat & Gene, we've been involved in your lives from a distance. Pat was so proud of Darrell for a lot of reasons: he was a precious brother, an incredibly devoted husband and father, and perhaps most importantly, a dedicated child of God. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

That memorial service was so uplifting and beautiful. And Tracey, your comments made me cry when you spoke of how you met & married, because it was like that for us just one year later! I too had become totally tired of the dating scene and finally got my act together & gave it to God. I became a praise team singer for singles at Friday Night Praise & Worship services at 1st Baptist, Houston. Less that one month later, God brought us together, and we knew something special had just happened. I'm including all this here, because I want all the singles out there looking for a Christian mate to know that He does have someone for us, but only in His timing. We have to be willing to turn it over to Him & shift the focus from ourselves to Him. That is the only way it works out for the best. (We were ages 39 and 42, so you see, it is NEVER too late.)

Tracey, Ethan, and Hannah,

My heartfelt sympathies to each of you with Darrell's passing and that is what it is; his passing on to eternal life and you will all see him again. May you find some comfort in knowing this. You all three have been tremendous witnesses in trusting God during these difficult years. What an example you have been and are truly astonishing to all of us. Below are some verses that exemplify you.
A Wife of Noble Character
(Excerpts from Proverbs 31)
10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. (Ps 62.7)

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. (Philip 4.12-13)

May God continue to guide and strengthen you all.
Prayers and love,
Darla Sanderson
