Bessie Elizabeth Rossi, 86, departed this life to be face to face with our Lord on June 24, 2008. She was the oldest member of St. Joseph Sacred Hearts Society and the Eagles Club.
Bessie was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend to many. Family was very important to her and she always cherished the time spent with her loved ones. She loved to cook and feed anyone who came to see her. She especially enjoyed the times all her nieces would get together for slumber parties and going out to eat. She never met a stranger and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony J. Rossi; her beloved daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Jean Rossi; and three sisters, Lena Albanese, Laura Accardo, and Jo Bauer. She is survived by her sons, Lynn C. Rossi and Johnny Rossi of Beaumont; one grandson, Shawn J. Rossi and wife Tamsyn of Thornton, Colorado; and sister, Mary Jane Mirabella of Bridge City.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2008 with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. at the Mortuary.
