Joseph Buford Cureton, 86, of Nederland passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. A native of Nacogdoches and resident of Nederland for over 62 years, Mr. Cureton was owner/operator of Cureton and Sons Equipment Rental in Nederland.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, June 23, 2008 at Broussard’s in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the mortuary.
Mr. Cureton is survived by sons; Wayne Cureton of Nederland, Robert Cureton and his wife Kim of Nederland and Michael Cureton of San Antonio; daughter, Gail Cureton of Stafford; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Cureton and brothers, Elzie and Ross Cureton.
