Hubert Alexander “Jack” McNeill passed away in Clairmont Nursing Home on Friday, May 21, 2004 at the age of 96.
He was born on July 23, 1907 in Valley Mills. In 1925 he married Lola Mae Jones. The couple moved to Bremerton, Washington in 1942. They later moved to Mill Creek, Salado, Texas in 1967. His wife of seventy-five years, died in 1999 is Salado. Mr. McNeill moved to Beaumont and became a resident Calder Woods Retirement Home three years ago.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline McNeill Rafes of Beaumont; three grandchildren, Allison Bordages Koskella, Joseph Adriance Bordages, III, and Katherine Bordages Brownlee, and four great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Salado United Methodist Church.. His remains will be interred in the Valley Mills Cemetery.
Jack was a happy man and gentleman to whomever he met.
