My dear Nan T-Pete, I feel so blessed that you were part of my life, such a loving and caring Aunt whom I adored. Here I am approaching 60, and I can still vividly remember my family trips during the summer to visit you and Uncle Ben and all of my delightful Texas cousins! Our beach outings to Galveston, Texas were some of the happiest times of my childhood. I always felt secured and loved when I was with you and Uncle Ben. How very pleased I was later in life when I would fly from California to visit my folks in Louisiana and you always went out of your way to drive from your home on Gary Street in Nederland to spend time with me and my children while we were in Lafayette. I was so happy to see your smiling face and hear that wonderful Texan accent as you walked through the door; and loved hugging you and, of course, in the process hugging "Chico" too! Our family chats in my parent's den with my mom, my sister Tammy, you, Brenda, and Jennifer will always be treasures in my memory, while Uncle Ben, Billy, and my brothers Mike and Terry were outside sitting under the car port helping my Dad with the barbeque! Nan T-Pete, I will always remember your kindness, your gentle non- judging ways, the compassion you had for each and every one of your family members, your heroism during those times you suffered the loss of your husband and children...and I remember most how you loved me. We are all so grateful to the Lord that your loving son, Billy and his caring wife, Brenda, were with you during your last days on earth providing you with the comfort and tender care you needed. I will miss you dearly but you are now in heaven with some of your loved ones and I will visit you often in my prayers. Your loving niece, Eva

I met "Pee Wee" in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Nederland Volunteer Fire Deptartment ( a long time ago). She was kind, fun-loving, and a great cook. She will be missed. My condolences to your family.

Maw Maw, you have to be the sweetest woman in the world! You will be missed dearly! Your family will be in my prayers, may they find peace during this difficult time.

We will miss you more then words can say. We love you with all our hearts and looking forward to seeing you again. I am so lucky that I had you to guide me and teach me through the years... You were always so loving to all of us and devoted your life to us (your children and grandchildren) and through everything our family has faced you showed strength and strength in God. We are keeping your family in our prayers at this difficult time. Maw Maw was an extraordinary lady. She truly loved her family and was always there for them. We are blessed to have had her in our lives. Now she can be with Paw Paw and one day we will be with her again.
