Jo Nell Evans, 72, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
A native of Natchitoches, Louisiana and a longtime resident of the Beaumont area, Mrs. Evans was President and Owner of Reed Service Company. This business was founded in 1974 by her and her husband, Eddie H. Evans, Jr. After his passing in 1996, Mrs. Evans continued the tradition of hard work and commitment that has made Reed Service Company a well respected business in the Beaumont community. Mrs. Evans will be remembered as a fun-loving and giving person who enjoyed every minute of life. She is cherished by her family and loved by many others who called her friend, companion, confidant and second mother.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Addie Everage; and her husband, Eddie H. Evans, Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Belinda Box and her husband Randy of Pearland, Wendy Robbins and her husband Bill of Lumberton and Cindy Bloodsworth of Beaumont; brothers, Ernest Everage, Jr. and wife Glenda of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Charles Everage and wife Theresa of Elgin; and grandchildren, Brian and Kristin Box, Carli and Cassie Robbins and Matthew and Adam Bloodsworth.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Mortuary.
