Flogene Christine Thomas, 88, went on to be with her Lord Jesus from her residence Monday morning, June 16, 2008.
She was born in Weatherford, Texas and lived her retiring years in Weatherford. While her husband was employed with Gulf Oil they lived in Beaumont for many years. Flogene had moved to Fannett the last year of her life to be near her family.
Flogene was a member of Church of Christ and lived life with high Christian values. She enjoyed traveling and being with her family.
Flogene was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Foy Thomas; sisters, Wydaun and Leeta Fern; and brother, John Clinton (JC).
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Hudson and her husband Cecil of Katy and Jackie Waltman of Brighton, Colorado; son, Eddie Thomas and wife Debbie of Fannett; fifteen grandchildren, Melanie, Cecil, Charles (Buster), Cheryl, Derek (Boomer), Michael, Annette, Elizabeth, Suzanne, Tammy, Lauren, Jessica, Christy, Phillip and James; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and sister, Dorothy Priddy.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 in Memory Gardens of Weatherford in Weatherford, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
