Mary Octavia LeJunie, 96 years, of Nederland, passed away, Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Senior Rehab Center in Port Arthur.
She was born February 11, 1908 in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana and had lived in the Jefferson County area since she was seven years old.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Broussard’s Chapel, Nederland with Reverend Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July12, 2004 at Broussard’s Mortuary, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
Survivors include her daughter, Eve Marie (LeJunie) McKinney of Nederland; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and seventeen great great grandchildren.
Her husband, Dave LeJunie, Sr. and five of her children preceded her in death.
