Helen Marie Neely, 73, of Saratoga, died Thursday, January 1, 2004 at her residence in Saratoga. Funeral Service will be Sunday January 4, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the West End Baptist church in Saratoga. A gathering of family and friends will be today, Saturday, January 3, 2004 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze Texas, 77625.
A native of Port Arthur, Helen lived in Saratoga and was a Case Worker for Hardin County Crime Victim Assistance.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Robert Neely; parents: Joseph and Lula Jennings; brothers: Bo Jennings and Gene Jennings; grandson: Shaun Jason Neely and granddaughter: Heather Dryden.
She is survived by sons: Sandy Drake and his wife Grace of Orangefield, Chester Drake III of Port Arthur, Shaun Neely and his wife Rae of Saratoga; Daughters: Summer Dryden of Port Arthur and Shanna Bullock of Paris, Arkansas; sister: Delores Richard and her husband Richard of Groves; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
