Dorothy Willson, 85 of Chester formerly of Nederland, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Chester with Rev. Hails Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Chester under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Sunday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Willson was a native of Coffeyville, KS she lived thirty-eight years in Nederland before moving to Chester twenty-five years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Nederland.
Mrs. Willson was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Funk. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, J.W. Willson of Cnester; two daughters, Barbara Newman and husband Marvin of Orange, Mary Beitel and husband Jay of San Antonio; two sons, John T Willson and wife Beth of Port Neches, Billy Willson and wife Jennifer of Nederland; two brothers, Charles Hertweck of Branson, Missouri, Robert Hertweck of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
