Barbara “Bobbie” Penry Boykin, 82, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
A native of Cedar Bayou, Texas and resident of the Beaumont area most of her life, Bobbie was a retired clerk with Sears.
Her husband John David Boykin preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Boykin and his wife Cheryl of Beaumont and William (Bubba) Boykin of Woodville; daughter, Barbara (Kitty) Andress of Beaumont; grandchildren, Sheila Shimmick and her husband Marc, Tom Boykin, David Boykin and his wife Morgan, Heather Tucker, Amy Racca and her husband Amos and Kevin Andress; great grandchildren, Kelsey and Aidan Shimmick, Taylor and Tyler Tucker and Jayda Racca; sister, Mae Isbell of Beaumont; brothers, James Penry of Port Neches, Tommie Penry of Fannett, Jerry Penry of Silsbee, Tullos Penry of Austin and Eddie Ray Penry of Chicago.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive. Beaumont.
