Andrian Louvierst “A. L.” Leday, 79 of Stowell, died May 29, 2008 at his residence.
A. L. was a native of Duralde, LA but grew up in Eunice, LA. He then moved to Texas and resided in the Stowell area for fifty-four years. Mr. Leday was a well known plumber in the area.
Funeral services will be Noon Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church 135 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to Noon with a rosary recited at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Leday is survived by his daughters, Mary L. Leday of Houston, Beverline Leday, Orelia Davis and her husband, Lawrence Charles, Carla Thomas and her husband, Billy, Andrea E. Leday-Calhoun all of Stowell; sons, Adam Gary Leday, Sr. and his wife Bonnie, Andrew Leday, Sr. and his wife, Joyce all of Dallas, Andres J. Leday, Sr. and his wife, Marilyn of Houston, Thomas W. Leday, Sr. and his wife, Lena, Eugene J. “Geno” Leday, Sr., and his wife, Mary Jane all of Stowell; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Mae Guillory Leday; parents, Andrian C. Leday and Maria Florencia Deculus Leday; grand-daughter, Carly Faith Thomas; sisters, Dolina Victorian, May Glory Victorian, Dolvina Guillory, Mable Armelin; brothers Willis Espree, Sandrus Espree, Lavone Leday and Francis Leday.
