Wade Meriwether, 71, of Port Neches passed away with his family by his side at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm Thursday May 29, 2008 at Broussard’s in Nederland.
Wade was a native of Beaumont and lived in Port Neches. He was the owner of Allied Plywood and Lumber and Home Surplus Outlet and was a Navy veteran.
Mr. Meriwether is survived by his wife, Ruby Meriwether of Port Neches; sons, Robert Meriwether and wife Paula of Beaumont, Mike Meriwether and wife Kelly of Nederland, Alan Meriwether and wife Michelle of Vidor, David Meriwether and wife Melanie of Beaumont; step son Brian Forey and wife Clarissa of Lumberton; step daughter Amanda Garrison and her husband Garod of Beaumont; sisters, Anne Marioneaux of Kountze, Gail Stephens of Baytown, Wanda Meriwether of Kountze, Kay Meriwether of Kountze, Jane Meriwether of Kountze, and Alice Vaughn of Beaumont; eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
