John Benjay Collins, 47, of Nederland died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. A native of Beaumont and lifetime resident of Nederland, John was a pipe fitter in the petroleum industry who loved to fish and cook and enjoyed his pet birds and country music.
Graveside service will be 11 am Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Felps Cemetery in Thicket with Rev. Ralph Martin officiating. The family would like to invite friends to join them for refreshments and a time of remembrance immediately following services at the cemetery.
John is survived by his father, Benny Collins of Nederland; son, John Edward Collins of El Paso; brother, Jack Douglas Collins of El Paso and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Collins.
