Evelyn Couie, 86, of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 at home surrounded by her family.
She was a native of New Albany, Indiana and a resident of Lumberton since 1958.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Couie on August 11, 1998.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Muirhead and her husband David of Lumberton; grandchildren, Sheryl Tullier and her husband Paul of Jasper, Michael Darby and his wife Christi of Sour Lake and Kristi Darby of Houston; great grandchildren, Katie Darby, Chip Darby, Cain Draper, Coy Draper and Cayce Draper.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Zavalla Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Mortuary.
