Mrs. Louise Denicourt, 75 of Beaumont, Texas, passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital of Beaumont.

She was a native of Texas and a resident of Taylor’s Bayou for over twenty-five years. The state of Texas has suffered a great loss. “Lou” as she was known to thousands, has touched the lives of many sharing her warmth and wisdom, with tenderness, love and understanding. Her zest for life will be greatly missed. She had taken so many of us “under her wing” and that gentle innocence that always found the positive in all things will be missed beyond words.

“Lou” is survived by her loving husband, Rob of twenty-seven years; brothers, J. W.,

J. B., Nelson; sister, Elsie; son, Cecil; daughters, Cathy, Nancy, Jamie, Darla; grandchildren, Mary, Lance Rene, Brandon; great-grandson, Hagan and so many others who she considered family and friends.

Her gentle spirit and loving heart will be carried on forever in the lives and hearts of so many people she touched with kind words, a gentle touch, and a sense of direction.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10th at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. Cremation was through Broussard’s Crematorium.

Lou provided me with spiritual guidance and wisdom for over two decades. I always looked forward to my annual trips to the Bayou to visit the lovely home she and Rob shared where I would receive her counsel. She was appreciated and will be missed more than words can say. My heart goes out to the family of this blessed lady.

All I have to say is Mrs.Lou was one of my most admired women while Nancy and I were growing up together. I always admired her strength and the way she would just tell it like it was!!! I really liked her. She really was a classy lady.
