Kathy, Just wanted to let you know that you are in my prayers. Ed was such a great guy and the two of you were so good for each other. I'll always remember him throwing more beads onto our Mardi Gras float as we passed by the Eagles Lodge. He was our saviour!! I know that Ed is with his Saviour now and that he is at peace and at rest and that you will meet again one glorious day. Just remember that life has not ended, it has just changed, and that you must go on as Ed would have wanted you to. We are all here for you. God bles you. Neil.

I was shocked and saddened by the loss of ya'lls father, Jodi, Kelsey, Natalie. My thoughts and prayers are with you completely right now. Jodi, thank you for getting the word to me. I loved ya'lls dad in my time with your family and always felt a kind of kindred spirit with him. We could go to the tool shed, just me and him, and he could tell me about this motor and that, this blade and that, I didn't understand any of it but it felt comfortable just to be in his presence. I joined his little lodge there in Boliver, learned the secret handshake and all, I carried my membership card in my wallet proudly (though expired, I still have it) and when I was finally "on the inside" as a member, saw the respect Ed garnered from those on the pennisula. From 2000-2006, I looked forward every summer to weekends in Boliver. I miss his hospitatlity, early morning knocks on our door (beers in hand, one open, one on the ready), rides in his jeep, rides in his big lawnmower, sigining me up for pool tournements at the lodge, and throwing the tennis ball together with Oprah. He cooked and cooked til you couldn't cook no more, and to be around Ed, you never left hungry. Every night when I watch the news and the weather and the weatherman shows the map, and points down on that little stretch of land, I always think of Ed and Kathy. Kathy what a sweet lady you are and I am sorry for your loss. Ed was a lucky man to have you at his side. Girls, all three of ya'll, through everything, your dad loved ya'll probably more than he could express. Everytime we were packed up and ready to leave, he would come to the window, tell Jodi how much he loved her, and always said to tell Kelsey and Natalie the same. It wasn't just a non-chalant love ya, tell them too, it was a look you straight in the eye....I love my girls. Ed was a father figure to me too, I even wrote a song about him which I framed the lryics and presented tio him as a gift which he displayed (proudly, I think) on his bookshelf. "The Boliver Boogie Man" is at peace, home now, cold one in hand, watchin over his girls........................ All My Love To The Family, Chuck
