Dear Mel and Mark and families; The sad news from the Daily Record has prompted this note. I met your mom when I moved to Morris Twp, NJ age 11 and was placed in her 6th grade class at Vail School . Robbie was a winner, not only did I enjoy her very quick mind, we competed in many sports (she won). I admired her so . We became a gang of two by 7th grade, "The Gruesome Twosome", sharing Halloween, Burnham Park Pool and her wonder dog, Tippy. My daughter now lives very close to her family home on Midland Dr., which brings forth memories of my friend each time I go past. I treasured that friendship. Through the years we wrote hundreds of letters.. I feel like I know her amazing family.... however then her Parkinson's robbed her of so much. I have missed her being there , her notes and cards, however thankful she was with loved ones and in good care. Please accept my sincere sympathies; wish I could come to give you all a hug and share more great memories of this very talented amazing woman who lived such a worthwhile life. With heartfelt condolences, Marilyn (Vogel,Franey)Austin aka "Shrimpet"
