Paul “Zack” Porter, 89, of Hamshire died January 29, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral Serices will be Saturday, January 31, 2004 at First United Methodist Church in Winniewith burial in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard's, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie.A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
A former resident of Pt. Arthur he lived in Hamshire for 35 years and was a retired Chemical Operator for Gulf Oil. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents Columbus and Mae Elizabeth Porter and grandson, Dustin P. Porter, He is survived by his wife, Margie Porter of Hamshire; sons, Paul Porter, Jr. and wife, Evelyn of Hamshire, Larry “Buddy” Porter of Hamshire, Mark Porter and wife, Kaye of Anahuac; daughter, Pam Rose and husband, Frank of Hamshire; brother, John Porter and wife, Sid of Austin; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
