Zella Romero Raby, 95 of Groves passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Gulf Health Care in Port Arthur.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Groves, with Msgr. Kenneth Greig and Father Stephen McCrate officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 14, 2008 at the mortuary with a scriptural rosary being recited at 6:00pm.
Mrs. Raby was a native of Jeanerette, Louisiana and lived in Port Arthur and Groves most of her life. She retired from Raby Electrical Company after 35 years of service as an accountant.
Mrs. Raby was preceded in death by her husband Vernon. She is survived by her sister, Babe LaFrennie of Groves; nieces, Cyndee Borel and husband Paul of Coppell and Carolyn Killingsworth of Baytown; nephews, Creig Romero of Houston, Greig Romero and wife Debbie of Carthage; several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
