Veda Courtney, 83, of Winnie died January 18, 2004 at the Arboretum Nursing Home in Winnie.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Winnie under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie with burial at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2004 in Jonesboro Cemetery, Jonesboro, TX. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Born in Izora, Tx. she lived in Winnie for 47 years and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin Courtney and wife, Susan of Evergreen, Colorado; daughter, Myrna Roy and husband, Andy of Fannett; brothers, Gerald Fowler, Clanton Fowler and Allen Fowler all of Ft. Worth, TX.; sisters, Wanda Storm of Lampasas and Earnestine Farguharson of Graham; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
