Florence S. Broussard, 86, of Nederland died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday with a Scriptural Rosary to be held at 6:00 PM at the mortuary. Grave side services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday at the Abbeville Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville, Louisiana under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland.
Mrs. Broussard was a native of Abbeville and lived in Port Arthur since 1941 until moving to Nederland 3 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her husband, Warren L. Broussard. She is survived by her son, Dallas Broussard and wife Carolyn of Nederland; five grandchildren, Greg Broussard of Durango, Colorado, Brian Broussard of Port Neches, Melissa Mann of Lake Jackson, Monica Ewing and husband David of Stinnett, and Gary Deese and wife Rebecca of Nederland; one great grandson, Austin Broussard, also seven step-great grandchildren.
