James O. Massey, 84, of Port Neches passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Christus St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 2:00pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday at the mortuary.
Mr. Massey was a native of Port Arthur and lived all of his life in the Nederland area. He retired from Crown Pipe, and was a member of Local 195. James worked as a construction manager in the building of chemical plants all over the world including; Korea, Russia, China, Spain, Saudi Arabia, India and other countries. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Earl and Clyde Massey; and sisters, Louise Sims and Ruby Haff.
James is survived by his wife of 40 years, Okgie Massey of Port Neches; brothers, Ralph and B.J. Massey of Nederland; sister-in-law, Vernice Massey of Nederland; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
