LaVerne D. Blankenship, 76, of Beaumont died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 7, at the mortuary.
A native of Temple, she had lived in Beaumont most of her life and retired from Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital as a registered medical technologist.
Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Blankenship and her son, Dr. Jesse W. Blankenship, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Vernell Winney and her husband, Randy of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Jessica Winney and Scott Winney, both of The Woodlands; aunt, Melba Stewart of McAllen; and cousin, Melba Huber of McAllen.
