Ernest Joseph Bertrand, 63, of Silsbee died Friday, March 7, 2008 at his residence.
A native of Ville Platte, Louisiana, Ernest lived in the Silsbee area for fifty-eight years and was a truck driver.
He is survived his sons, Earl Bertrand and wife Shana of Silsbee and George Davis and wife Anita of Woodville; grandchildren, Kayla, Shelby, Nocona, Samantha, Scott, Margaret, Donnie, Jessica, Melissa, Nacoma, and Dewana and another granddaughter due in May; ten great grandchildren; numerous other grandchildren; sister, Elaine Beattle of Silsbee; and nephews, Wayne Touchet and Skylor Touchet of Vidor.
Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lillian; wife, Geraldine Bertrand; and son, Donald Davis.
Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 10, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, in Silsbee.
