Charles T. Goss, 89, of Nederland passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Ralph Martin officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the mortuary.
Charles was a native of Avoca, Arkansas and lived in Nederland since 1925. He retired as an educational supervisor from Texaco. His wife, Annie Mae Goss, preceded Charles in death. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland, and he received a bachelor degree at Lamar.
He is survived by his daughters, Eloise Kontz and husband Larry of Payson, Arizona, and Marian Flinders of Flagstaff, Arizona; son, Charles L. Goss and wife Margarette, of Anderson, Texas; three brothers, Robert Goss, James Goss and William Goss; a sister, Mary Lou Chamblee; grandchildren, Jim Goss, John Goss, Natalie Fredrickson, Amber Selby, Desiree Lillroth, Robin Grubbs; seven great grandsons, and three great granddaughters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
