George Robins, 81, of Kountze died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at his residence. George was born April 18, 1926 to John and Sarah (Jordan) Robins in Beaumont, Texas. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a retired boilermaker and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel Robins and wife Karen of LaBelle, Daryl Robins, and Joel Robins and wife Ruby of Kountze; grandchildren, Dustin Robins, John Robins, Sarah Robins, Lonnie Chancellor, Robert Chancellor, Joshua Chancellor, and William Powell; and great grandchildren, Jadon Zedrick, Caylyn Zedrick, and Isabella Powell. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gussy Baker Robins, parents, and brother, John Robins.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 29, 2008 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the mortuary.
