Marjorie Thomas, 82, of Beaumont died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Hotel Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 25, 2008 at Broussard’s in Nederland, with Reverend Dr. Robert Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday at the mortuary.
Marjorie was a native and life long resident of Nederland. She was retired from Nederland I.S.D. where she taught Science at C.O. Wilson Middle School. She lived her last six and one half years at Hotel Beaumont.
Her parents; Evie and Pat Morrison, husband; Otis Thomas, Jr. and brothers; Pat and Earl Morrison preceded her in death. Marjorie is survived by son; Don Thomas and wife Cathie of Katy, daughters; Janie Hopkins and husband Robert of Silsbee, Peggy Holmes and husband Stephen of Nederland, grandsons; Caleb Hopkins, Matthew Holmes and William Thomas, granddaughters; Brandi Nunez, Meghan Finley, Kelli Holmes, Stephanie Hopkins and Courtney Thomas and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are brother; Jerald Morrison of Orange, CA. and sister; Carolyn Dehart of Buna, and a host of nieces and nephews.
