Kathleen Ann McKeon, 55, of Worcester, Massachusetts and recently of Beaumont, Texas died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
She was a native and longtime resident of Worcester, Massachusetts. Ms. McKeon was a retired registered nurse and a tireless advocate for those in need.
Survivors include her devoted daughter, Rebecca M. Bishop and her husband Brent of Beaumont; her mother, Ruth M. Bigelow McKeon; brothers, James J. McKeon, Edward F. McKeon, Robert P. McKeon, and Francis W. McKeon all of Worcester, Massachusetts; two nieces; one nephew; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; numerous loving friends; and her faithful service dog, Yonder. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis E. McKeon in 1994.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Beaumont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the DAV-Chapter in Williamsburg, Virginia for the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 34, P.O. Box 372, Norge, Virginia 23127.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas.
