Monte Clyde Brigance, 71, of Hamshire, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Dogwood Trails Nursing Home in Woodville.
Born August 31, 1932 in Kilgore, and resident of High Island and Fannett since 1949, Monte was a control operator with Mobil Oil. He was a member of First Baptist Church, High Island and a United States Korean War Army veteran.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2004, at First Baptist Church, High Island under the direction of Broussard's, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie.
Survivors include his son, Monte Brigance Jr. of Livingston; daughters, Donna Cuevar and Cheryl Hogard both of Madisonville; brother, Blaine Brigance of Fannett; grandchildren, Ben and Dawn Brigance, Christina Fancher, Julie and Dustin Hogard, Brandon and Lyndsey Bennett, and Jesse and Kyle Cuevos; and great grandchildren, Dylan and Dyran Fancher.
