Rev. Tommy Starcke, 72, of High Island died March 3, 2004 at his residence.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in High Island under the direction of Broussard’s, Winnie with burial in High Island Cemetery.
Born in Beaumont, TX. he lived in High Island for 8 years and was a retired minister. Mr. Starcke also served his country in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Starcke of High Island; son, Eugene Starcke of Hankamer; daughters, Tura Zapata of High Island, Vickie Hieb of Bullard, TX. and Angela Warshaw of Vidalia, LA.; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
