Makayla Ann Faulk, infant daughter of Sarah Gordon Schoolcraft, died January 24, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.

She is survived by her mother, Sarah Gordon Schoolcraft of Silsbee; brother, Shawn Schoolcraft; sister, Charity Schoolcraft; grandmother, Sharon Gordon of Monroe, Louisiana; grandparents, Pam and Charles Blakeney of Honey Island; great grandparents, Sam and Alice Ryan of Honey Island; and uncles, Ethan Blakeney of Honey Island and Ryan Gordon of Kountze.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.

Sarah, you don't know me, but I read that you lost your baby girl and I just felt the need to tell you that I know how you feel. I lost my sweet Alison years ago, and I remember the pain and grief, and all I wanted to do was talk to someone who knew how I was feeling. There are no words of comfort, but after all these years, with my other children grown nearly, I still have my baby Alison. She'll always be my baby, and you'll always have your sweet baby girl in your heart. It will be rough for a while, but time will help ease the pain. I will say a prayer for you . . .
