Thelma Judice Oubre went home to the Lord, Friday January 11, 2008 at her residence in Port Arthur. Born April 10, 1919 in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana to Beauregard and Stella Broussard Judice she lived in Port Arthur since 1936.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2008 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Oubre was preceded in death by her parents, also her brother Murphy Judice, her sisters, Elaine Delahoussaye, and Sadie Broussard, also her grandson, John Oubre Jr. She is survived by her husband of 71 years Lawrence Pierre Oubre of Port Arthur; son John Oubre of Grandbury; three daughters, Marlene Durke of New Iberia, Louisiana, Linda Borel and her husband, Mel of San Antonio, and Carole Reeves and her husband Marvin of Groves; three sisters, Leona Champagne of St. Martinville, Louisiana, Doreen McDougle of Nederland, and Stella Judice of St. Martinville, Louisiana; two brothers, Beauregard Judice Jr. of Loreauville, Louisiana, and Coston Judice of Youngsville, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Darin Durke and his wife Penny, Kelly Daigle and Kristi Durke, Benny Falcon Jr., Beth Ann Falcon, Barbara Jurbala and her husband Steve, Brenda Washington and her husband Carl, Aimee Hebert and her husband Chad, Amber Barrow and her husband Monte, Spencer Reeves and his wife Zoe, and Jordan Oubre; her great grandchildren, Allyson and Blair Durke, Abigail Daigle, Matthew Gary, Faith Falcon, Stephen and Rachel Jurbala, Carson and Cade Washington, Seth and Reeve Barrow, Andrew and Brock Hebert, Kiara and Aiyana Reeves. Extended family members include, Chris, Mandy, Morgan and Maura Gibson.
