Catherine McDaniel, 64, of Beaumont, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. She was a native of Yellow Pine, Texas and resident of Beaumont for thirty-nine years.
Catherine loved working in her flower garden and flowers in general, craft work, painting, and ceramics. She also enjoyed going to flea markets, and garage sales. Catherine especially loved spending time with her dogs, Choco, Pug, Peanut and Bebop.
Survivors include her husband of forty-three years, Richard McDaniel of Beaumont; daughter, Melissia Davis and her husband Jim of Winnie; son, Barry McDaniel of Beaumont; sister Christine Smith of Houston; brother, Lester Jones and his wife Doris of Beaumont; half brother, Raymond Burton Jones of Orangefield; grandchildren, Lillian Davis and Olivia Davis both of Winnie, and Marisa McDaniel and Nathan McDaniel both of Nederland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2007 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A committal service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers and Highway 124, Beaumont.
