Hazel Jeanette Brady, 79, of Kountze, Texas died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service will be Sunday, February 1, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas 77625. A gathering of family and friends will be today, January 31, 2004 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. also at the mortuary.
A native of Bronson she lived in Kountze, Texas, most of her life and was retired from Kountze Pharmacy with 32 years of service as a retail clerk.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda Holmes and her husband Terry of Kountze, LaJean Warren and her husband Reggie of Austin, Laura Alford and her husband Morris of Houston; brother: Curtis Ford Jr. of Corpus Christi; grandchildren: Chris House, Zachary Warren and Nicholas Warren.
Hazel will always be remembered for her fierce sense of independence, her exuberant love of life, and her wonderful ability to make friends wherever she went. (even in her last days in the hospital) She touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
