Funeral services for Zachery Bonin Rollo, 17, of Winnie will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell with The Rev. Tom W. Crowe officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Broussard’s Mortuary in Winnie.
Zach was born on Oct. 3, 1986 in Beaumont. He was a junior at East Chambers High School, and was manager of the East Chambers football team for three years. Zach was a Life Scout in Boy Scouts of America and was working on his Eagle Scout project. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell.
Zach loved to go camping and fishing, and enjoyed playing the card game Magic. He overcame many obstacles to achieve in life what others might take for granted. Most of all, Zach loved being with his family and friends. If people knew Zach, they loved Zach.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Ernest and Ann Cryer of Hamshire.
Zach is survived by his parents, Jeff and Melissa Rollo of Winnie; sister, Katie Rollo, and brother, Jes Rollo, both of Winnie; grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. W.C. Rollo of Winnie; uncles and aunts, Billy and Delores Rollo, Dr. R.O. and Dr. Susan Rollo, Keith and Robin Rollo, all of Winnie, Joel Cryer of Austin, Steve and Donna Bryan of Rosenberg, Bob and Denise Haenel of Fairchilds, and Jamie and Tracy Cryer of Sugar Land; cousins, Ashley, Trey and Kristen Rollo, Isaac, Isabel and Joshua Rollo, Haylea Stevens and husband, Casey, and Whitney Rollo, Natasha Tiffany and husband, Scott, Michelle Schmutz and husband, Rodney, John Entralgo and Evan Haenel, Cynthia Woodson and Devin Cryer; and many other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jes Rollo, Trey Rollo, Evan Haenel, Ethan Hasson, Kris Kahla, Tyler Kahla, Colby Simpson and John Entralgo.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Boy Scout Troop 375 of Winnie.
In lieu of the usual remembrances, the family requests memorials be made to the Boy Scouts of America troop of Winnie.
