Kirk Chaney “K.C.” Gordy, 65, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
A native of Southeast Texas and resident of Beaumont most of his life, Mr. Gordy was a retired operator with Nighthawk Oilfield Construction. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and the outdoors.
His parents, Howard Walter, Sr. and Alice Gordy; brother, Robert Lee Gordy; mother and father-in-law, Ray and Doris St. Clair; and grandparents, Kirk and Venus Ferrell preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Patty Gordy of Beaumont; son, Danny Shannon of Sour Lake; daughter, Tammy Edelmon and her husband Barry of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Abby Edelmon, Aaron Edelmon and Allan Edelmon; brother, H.W. Gordy, Jr. of Junction, Texas; and many other loving nieces, nephews and family members.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Mortuary.
