Matile Simon Guidry, 93, of Winnie died November 27, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Matile is survived by her daughters, Mazie East and her husband, Donald of Winnie, Shirley Johnson and her husband, Larry of Livingston; son, Edmond Simon and his wife, Gwen of Beaumont; brothers, Wallace Simon and his wife, Mary of Stowell, Etienne Simon of Winnie, Anthony “Bee” Simon and his wife, Aurelia of Lafayette; sister Lucille LaComb of Vidor; grandchildren, Brian East and his wife, Bobbie, Todd East and his wife, Brenda, Daphne Matthews and her husband, Rip, Nicole Touchett and her husband, Kelley, Michael Johnson and his wife, Cheryl Johnson, Laura Bowers and her husband, Cary, Chad Simon and his wife, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Brooke East, Amber East, Tosha Hughes, Justin Devillier, Tamera Beasley, Torrie Beasley, Keaton East, Mattie East, Shaina Matthews, Hayden Touchett, Kasey Touchett, Mason Harris, Michael Dan Johnson, Blaze Johnson, Lindsey Bowers, Bryce Bowers, Bailey Bowers, Savannah Simon, Rileigh Simon; great-great-grandchildren, Brookelyn Hope Hughes, Jacob Calhoun, Nadalea Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
