Iola Marie Provost, 94, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Rev. Stephen McCarte and Rev. Bennie Patillo co- celebrates. Rite of Committal will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5 to 8:00 PM Monday at the mortuary with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.
Iola was a native of Patouville, Louisiana and lived in Port Arthur since 1927. She was a member of the cafeteria staff for Gulf Oil for many years. Iola was a member of St. Joseph Church. Mrs. Provost was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Provost; sister, Myrtle Wolford; brothers, Paul Walker and Earl Walker.
Iola is survived by her sons, Paul Provost Sr. and his wife Pam of Beaumont, James Provost and his wife Janet of Mineola, TX; sister, Lucille Trappey of Lafayette, Louisiana; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
