Kim Arave Jacobs, 46, passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2007 at her home in Port Arthur, Texas.
She was born August 28, 1961 in Ogden, Utah and was the daughter of Ray and Jane Arave. She grew up in Washington Terrace.
Kim graduated from Bonneville High School. She joined the U.S. Navy in 1978 and faithfully served five years before being honorably discharged. Kim was stationed aboard the USS Point Loma where she met and fell in love with her commanding officer Don Jacobs who later became her husband of twenty years.
Kim loved being outdoors, whether it was out to sea, or camping in the mountains at Sourdough. Kim was always “bigger than life” in everything she did.
Kim loved her family, her favorite thing to do when she came home for a visit was to have the whole family get together at mom’s house for a picnic barbeque. Kim also loved to sit and go through photo albums and reminisce about childhood stories.
Kim and Don had a great love for children, having none of their own, their hearts and home were always open to any child whether it was nieces, nephews or neighborhood children where they lived.
