Fred “Doodlebug” Burrell, Jr., 89, of Winnie died November 9, 2007 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
“Doodle Bug” is survived by his wife, Gay Burrell; sons, Fred Burrell, III and his wife, Judy, Bobby Burrell and his wife, Donna all of Winnie; Step-sons, Jimmy Hampton and his wife, Keri of Beaumont, James Hampton of Pt. Aransas; step-daughter, Beth Arnold and her husband, Ted of Bridge City; grandchildren, Michael Burrell, Misty Stewart, Kristen Myers, Kirk Hampton, Wesley Arnold, Dustin Hampton, Ashlee Hampton, Natalie Hampton; great-grandchildren, Shaye Burrell, Jacob Stewart, Eryn Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Danica Burrell and numerous nieces and nephews.
