James C. “Johnny” Norwood, 83, of Beaumont, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
A native of Orange and life long resident of the area, Mr. Norwood was a retired pipefitter with Bethlehem Steel. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Norwood of Beaumont; brothers, Joe Carroll Lippeatt of Orange and Archie Norwood of Dayton; sisters, Lois Duke of Livingston, Jackie Riggs and her husband Robert of Monx, North Carolina of Janie Davis and her husband Kenneth of Pittsburg, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving friends and family members.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Mortuary.
