Joyce Hatcher, 72, of Batson, Texas died Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at her place of residence. Funeral service will be Friday, March 5, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Batson Prairie Baptist Church. Burial will be at Guedry Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be today, March 4, 2004 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the church under the direction of Broussard’s, 700 W. Saratoga HWY, Kountze, Texas 77625.
A native of Daisetta, she lived in Batson, Texas, most of her life and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Henry Hatcher, one sister, and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughter: Betty Dixon and her husband John of Batson; son: John “Buz” Hatcher Jr. also of Batson; 3 grandchildren: Melissa Dixon, Jennifer Dixon, and Steven Hatcher.
