Dianne Duke, 44, of Kountze died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at her residence. Dianne was born November 1, 1962 to John and Thelma Earline (Ripka) Read in Hardin County, Texas. A lifelong resident of Kountze, she was employed with Texas Thermowell in sales. Dianne was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and camping.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Duke of Kountze; son, Justin Matthew Duke of Kountze; step-son, Andrew Blake Seals of Vidor; mother, Earline Read of Broaddus, brothers, Joe David Read, Sr. of Porter, and Robert Earl Read and wife Claudette of Broaddus; mother and father-in-law, M J and June Duke of Nederland; nephews, Chris Read, Derek Read, Lance Read, Vance Read, and Joe David Read, Jr.; niece, Ami Dobbins; and special friend, Melissa Loden.
A Memorial Service celebrating Dianne’s life will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Don Arnold officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m. prior to service.
