Richard Eugene “Ricky” Bonura, Jr. passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the age of 53. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born July 2, 1954 to parents, Richard and Frances Bonura.
Ricky enjoyed celebrating special occasions and spending time at home with his large extended family. He never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Frances Bonura of Beaumont; sisters, Janna Staton and husband Doug, Tamara Spell and husband Dave, and Lisa Breaux and husband Joey; brothers, Randy Bonura, Ronny Bonura and wife Donna all of Beaumont and Chris Bonura of Santiago, Chile; grandfather, Harold Votaw of Houston; nieces and nephews, Brittney Hampshire and her husband Cody, Josh Spell, Meagan Staton, Kodie Lyons, Adam Hinson, Amanda Bonura, Katie Bonura, Jonathan Breaux and Mitchell Breaux; and numerous relatives and friends.
His grandparents, John and Lillie Vacula, Leon Bonura and Burla Bonura Votaw; uncle, Johnny Vacula; aunt, Marie Johnson; and cousin, Melissa Richardson preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at St. Pius X Church with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends to follow Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Mortuary.
