Alpay Marie Potier, 83, of Winnie died April 18, 2004. She was born in Gueydan, Louisiana and spent most of her life in Winnie.
Alpay is survived by her daughter, Earline Phelps of Nederland,Tx; son, Joe Potier and wife Linda of Silsbee, Tx; sisters, Elzia Richard, Edelia Benoit and husband Reed, Rita Jane LeBlanc and husband John, Eula Richard and husband Ambrose, Zula Terro all of Winnie,TX; Nita Istre of Morse, La; grandchildren, Brent Potier, Trent Potier, Adrian Day, Errol Viator and Eric Viator, great grandchildren, Jessica Simon, Ryan Domingue, Harley Day, Lindsey Potier, Ty Potier, Ethan Viator, Evan Viator and Kirsten Viator, great great grandchildren, Kenley Seal.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Winnie followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie. A gathering of family and friends were Tuesday evening April 20, 2004 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary resided at 7:00p.m. at the mortuary.
