Virgil Patrick “Pat” Desormeaux, 63 of Winnie, died September 18, 2007 at his residence.
A resident of High Island for twenty-six years, Pat lived in Winnie the last thirty-seven years. He was a truck driver for Martin Resources.
Pat is survived by his wife, Bertha Desormeaux of Winnie; son, Brian Desormeaux and his wife, Amanda of Oyster Creek; daughter, Brenda Nicholson and her husband, Roger of Marion; sisters, Geneive Couch of Yakima, WA., Gertrude Voss and her husband, Lee of Angleton; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Hazel Desormeaux; brothers Rollin Desormeaux, Robert Desormeaux, Gerald Desormeaux, Sheldon Desormeaux and grandson, John C. Duhon, III.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday September 21, 2007 at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
